We are a London-based social arts collective called Studio61. We were introduced to SPACE4 in January 2023 through one of our members Tim Minshall who was co-working there at the time. A bunch of us attended the ‘Technological Innovation the Solution to the Climate Crisis?’ debate which Tim was speaking at and loved the discussion-based format of the event as well as the community-centric feel of the space.

After being introduced to Natasha, we then went on to host a number of events at SPACE4, focusing on topics as wide-ranging as parties with purpose, energy co-operatives and biodesign. Our collaboration also led to the birth of The Anti-Book Club, an alternative book club run in conjunction with Studio61 and ex-SPACE4 member John Evans which brought new audiences to the venue whilst being heaps of fun.

Another wonderful project which came about through SPACE4 was the Founders and Coders course which our creative director Oli Conner participated in, successfully planning and building a Portal of Projects online application.
Next year, we will be running a three-part Power, Culture and Protest masterclass at SPACE4, supported by a grant from the Raymond Williams Foundation which we are very much looking forward to. All in all, SPACE4 has been a haven of culture, connections and camaraderie this past year and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future
